Be the Hero in your own life and business!
Is there a difference between fate and everyday life? How do we get meaning out of every day?
Perhaps fate and everyday life are the same and you don’t get meaning from each day because each day is our fate and full of all necessary meaning. Too heady? That’s understandable. Perhaps we can look at it this way, if you pay attention and remain in the present moment throughout your day the meaning can become apparent to you. Just remember to breathe! Life is only as simple or complicated as we plan or make it. In a recent marketing podcast I listened to a discussion about the book “Hero on a Mission” by Donald Miller and heard how a life plan can let you live each day with a sense of meaning and purpose.
Storyteller and New York Times bestselling author, Donald Miller writes about find meaning in our lives by showing us how to live a better story. He knows as well as anyone that a meaningful life doesn’t happen by accident. After struggling for years to build meaningful relationships and spending most of his time with a victim mindset, Don finally decided to stop letting fate write his story. In “Hero on a Mission”, his newest book, Don described how to create the same Life Plan he used every day as he built a successful business, married the love of his life, and figured out how to live every day like a hero on a mission.
In my blog here, I’ve spoken to finding your voice and marketing. I’m not going down the philosophy rabbit hole by laying out what fate is or isn’t and how it reveals itself in everyday life, not enough space here. What I did want to point out after listening to the podcast, was that Donald Miller is on a good path. There are many paths for sure but I think what he seemed to have figured out is that fate and meaningfulness don’t just happen. We create fate or meaning with each choice me make and action we engage in throughout our day(s). Personally or commercially, what is your story and are you the hero in it? The purpose of this blog is to help you understand the power of the moment, the story created by the connection of these moments, and how you the hero can create success (personally/commercially) with a good story. That’s all. I’d be remiss if I didn’t share that Coffee News is a great method for sharing a business story, so reach out and share.
