Find Your Business Voice Pt3
Have you created a vision for your business and goals to implement this vision? As noted in the previous two parts of this post theme, finding your business voice and sharing all that you do are the paths to achieving business goals. Marketing and sharing your business with print, radio, or TV/media advertising is your voice. All advertising methods have their entry prices, with print being the lowest in cost and TV/media being the highest, and their individual selling points. A good marketing plan involving all or some combination of advertising mediums is the best plan. Advertising, along with your physical business location or presence it what drives customers to your business. Once there they will need to see and hear all that you do, your voice is heard and your story shared.
You have that sign on the front of your business (Pete’s Pizza) and post on Facebook or TikTokis, that’s a start to brand building but these are static and limited in scope. Good customer service and pleased customers will certainly lead to the sharing of great things about your business but not all comments will be great. How about combining some advertising with these more static parts to focus your vision and its message? Advertising helps share your business across as much bandwidth as possible. Print advertising gets you a lot of bandwidth for a minimal cost but it is pretty black and white, literally. Print is visually one dimensional. Radio cost$ more and reaches a very broad audience. It gives you some auditory time to share more about your business but what happens if the potential customer is tuned out when your 30 second spot plays on the radio. TV is best for established brands that have a well developed story/history and as such it is very costly. It puts all the senses to work, combining visually appealing graphics and your script. Like radio what happens if the viewer is disengaged moments before your ad airs or you have to pay beaucoup bucks to air the ad in a good time slot other than 2:30 a.m.
Coffee News and radio is FREE but more TV is now coming from paid streaming services. You have to purchase a newspaper or magazine subscription to see their print ads. No matter what you want to share it is going to take some sort of advertising, besides a sign on your vehicle or a Facebook post, to do the sharing.
