Finding Your Business Voice Pt1

Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is an interesting concept defining us.  The PBS News Hour has a segment called, Brief But Spectacular, where short interviews with a variety of individuals share their life experience and thoughts on different topics.  Recently, one with writer Mary Otis looked at how as a writer she found her voice.  Have you and your business found your voice?  How do you share all that you do or all that you’ve accomplished?  Come on and show the world what you do, find your voice!

Most likely your business’ physical location, word of mouth from customers, and advertising are the keys to finding your voice.  No matter what you want to share it is going to take some sort of advertising or marketing to do the sharing.  You may advertise with a sign, webpage, radio or TV, some form of print, or with a digital presence on social media/Google.  All of these will drive customers to your business where they will see and hear all that you do and from this interaction your voice is heard and your story shared.  That sign on the front of your business or beside the road will certainly help people see you as long as they are driving by that static location.  Good customer service will certainly lead to great things being shared about your business, word of mouth, but not all comments will be great.  The goal with advertising is to focus your vision and its message, then to share it across as much bandwidth as possible.  We’ll continue the advertising conversation in another post, until then continued success with sharing your vision and story!
